It's been a while since I have posted. Here is a shot I took a couple years back while in California on Route 395.

Yosemite Firefall

Around the second week in February the sun hits Horsetail Falls in Yosemite causing the waterfall to glow orange that is the natural Firefall. Not to be confused withe the Glacier Point Firefall that took place from 1872 to 1968. Where burning hot embers were poured from the top of Glacier Point to the valley 3,000 feet below. From a distance it appeared as a glowing waterfall as seen in his video.

Rúckatan at the Fox Theater in Redwood City

I photographed Rúckatan at the Fox Theater in Redwood City. My last post was about the band being introduced by Roberta Gonzales a friend of the band. The band members are Carlos Elizalde on vocals and hand percussion, Jose Angel Amador on vocals and keys, Blaine Hoopes on keys, saxophone, vocals and various woodwinds. Derek Rolando on congas & timbales, Brian Camara on drums & percussion, Ray Uribes on bass & vocals. And Carlos Hernandez (Los) on guitar.

Rúckatan at the Fox Theater in Redwood City Roberta Gonzales

I had a chance to shoot Rúckatan at the Club Fox in Redwood City. They were introduced by Roberta Gonzales a friend of the band.

Turtle Bay Oahu

Turtle Bay is located on the North Shore of Oahu. Green Sea Turtles are seen year round basking in the sun. Also in the waves, when the waves break you can see many turtles in the waves almost as if they are surfing on the underside of the waves. The last three images are an attempt to capture that unsuccessfully. I guess I will have to go back and spend more time there.
